It’s weird to be complaining about rising housing costs and then block housing being built. 60% of that site would be kept as open space for a park after the apartments are built. What would you like UC Berkeley to do?

This is why Oakland can't have nice things. Doesn't understand how a business needs to make some profit to run, grow, invest, and expand. Doesn't understand that Target brings economic activity to a local area by means of foot traffic for mom-and-pop businesses. 👎

Oakland Police Officers Association have called on Sheng to resign. It is hard to read when they describe the reality of what residents are faced with in Oakland and yet there were missed opportunities to make it better. "Every day you are in office, Oakland is less safe."

Councilmember @Janani4Oakland put forth a proposal for an OPD grant writer and Sheng and her voting bloc on council shot her down because they did not want this grant writer to be only OPD focused. They did not want Janani to have a win. It did not make sense for them to shoot
