- In the end, a tangible effort by the Patriots to keep Tom Brady in New England never happened. No negotiation. Just the intimation that it was on Brady to say what he wanted. For Brady, that stance spoke volumes.
- So this is a minor detail but it helps contrast the untucked, slap-it-out-there approach of one team and another that’s on the details. Players are supposed to be behind yellow line. Pats sideline. Browns sideline. Taken seconds apart.
