2026 is going to be a big year for housing in London. In 60 seconds, here’s some of what we’ve got to look forward to.

You semi-regular reminder that more of the UK’s land is made up of golf courses than housing. Less than 6% of land is urban.

Ben Shapiro storming off in a huff after being humiliated in an interview by Andrew Neil. You’re not on Fox News now. The full interview is well worth a watch

He sounds exactly like the “I was very, very drunk” bloke from the Fast Show here. Utterly incoherent

Just think of it as full regulatory alignment with the rest of the United Kingdom, Arlene
'It is not over' says Arlene Foster, as she leaves the Stormont chamber after failing to stop the liberalistation of abortion laws in N Ireland..

    Yes I have - someone else’s mortgage
If you’ve ever said, “OK, boomer”... I guarantee you’ve never paid the mortgage.

His name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon. He's a convicted fraudster, a thug, & a peddler of hate who has nothing of value to contribute to any debate. The photo you use implies he's being silenced when in fact he's constantly being given a platform by the media
TONIGHT: Is Tommy Robinson a man raising concerns that others ignore, or a far-right figure exploiting the victims of sexual abuse for his own ends? We look into the roots of his appeal - and where his movement is headed next. 22:30 @BBCTwo | #newsnight

"Labour did levelling up and we stopped it" is quite the admission.
EXCLUSIVE: In a leaked video, Rishi Sunak boasted to Conservative Party members that he was prepared to take public money out of “deprived urban areas” to help wealthy towns. @REWearmouth reports: newstatesman.com/politics/conse…

New figures show that last year more new council homes were started in London than in any year since the 1970s. This morning @SadiqKhan and I visited brand new council homes built by @lb_southwark. Beautifully designed family-size homes with gardens, funded by @MayorofLondon.

So many of Boris Johnson's worst character flaws on display at #PMQs. He's thin skinned and easily riled. He can't cope with a hostile audience that won't laugh at his attempts at jokes. And he tends to wing it rather than put the work in to prepare

Only 6% of land in the UK is built on and only 1% is housing. More land in Britain is covered by golf courses than housing. Stop dressing up your xenophobia as concern about the housing crisis
Britain concretes over an area the size of London each decade, principally to absorb an unsustainable level of immigration. At this rate we won’t be leaving behind much green space (a finite resource) for future generations. @CPRE cpre.org.uk/magazine/opini…

With a few honourable exceptions this is the most appalling list of peerages I’ve ever seen. Packed full of cronies, and at least one genocide denier. Claire Fox has never apologised for denying the genocide of Bosnian Muslims. She’s now Baroness Fox.
