The EU's decision on the Irish border tonight is right up there with the most bizarre I have ever seen in politics. For years, they have told us there must never, EVER, be a border on the island of Ireland. And they just imposed one, without consultation.
This is just impossible to believe. At a time when the whole country was religiously observing the rules (you could meet ONE person outside), the PM's most senior official appears to have invited over a HUNDRED people to a party.
If the SNP can assemble a pro independence majority here tonight or tomorrow, I just can't see how it would be credible to deny them another referendum. It would make an absolute mockery of the principle of democratic devolution.
Rachel Reeves is making some very serious charges about the Tories keeping stuff from the OBR. Jeremy Hunt looks furious, but if the OBR backs her up that is going to be a really big deal.
This is stunning work from Paul. Absolutely jaw-dropping. I imagine most people will find this very, very, very unamusing indeed. Do watch the full report and reaction on News at Ten.
EXCLUSIVE: Video obtained by ITV News shows Downing Street staff joking about a Christmas party on 18th December last year.
No 10 has spent the past week denying any rules were broken. This new evidence calls that into question.
I suspect Boris Johnson will still win, but I will say this; I can't recall anyone becoming PM having given so little idea as to how he will actually respond to the challenges he will really face.
We’re all assuming this will end up with another referendum or an election this autumn, but I think there is at least as good a chance a new leader just goes full tilt for no deal and dares parliament to try and stop him/her.
I just don't understand this obsession with constantly saying the PM is 'still in charge.' He's clearly quite sick with a disease we know can kill. Why on earth isn't the message that he's resting and taking a break?
