- In an obvious tribute to Kobe Bryant, Fred VanVleet opened the game by holding the ball after passing halfcourt for a 24-second violation. Dejounte Murray is now doing the same for the Spurs. All of this going on as the fans rise, applaud and chant Kobe.
- As Trump bans DEI programs, Spurs celebrate Pride Night. “I’m so proud of our team and so grateful we have stayed the course,” Spurs executive Kara Allen said. “And as a queer woman leader, I feel significant pressure to push us to continue to do the harder, right thing.”
