Tamil Nadu is proud to have five tiger reserves namely Mudumalai, Anamalai, Sathyamangalam, Kalakad Mundanthurai& Srivilliputhur Meghamalai Tiger reserves. Status of Tiger 2022 report released today shows TN has increased its tiger population from 264 (2018) to 306 (2022).

Update on #Arikomban Press release from Field director KMTR (17.7.23) states Arikomban is found active and in good health. The expert team has observed that his food and water in-take was normal. Press release was given after the inspection by FD KMTR along with experts.

FRO, Ranipet, and field staff inspected the Sholingar Narasimhar temple. Action has been taken to safely capture these monkeys. On capture, they will be released in their habitat by following due protocol.
