Microsoft has created so many UI frameworks: Blazor, Razor, .NET MAUI / Xamarin Native / Xamarin Forms, WinUI3, UWP, Win32, WinForms, WPF, even a React Native desktop thing. That they didn't pick _any_ of these for Teams 2.0 is really quite impressive.

Been there. The only comfort I can offer is a counter-intuitive truth: that sometimes the harshest words are said in the safest environments, because they know that acceptance and love is unconditional and they can let off steam in ways that would destroy any other relationship.

OK, Flutter on Apple Silicon turns out to be pretty impressive. This is an app for iOS, Android, iOS/Catalyst, macOS, web and Windows, all running on the same machine, as well as Android Studio, Xcode, VSCode. Same codebase. Fanless. Fast. Wow. #Flutter #applesilicon #developer

A new season! This month I’ve started a new role at Apple, leading developer tools and frameworks marketing. It has been exciting to see the world through a new lens.

It's time to upgrade my Mac. The SE/30 on the left has served me very well over the years, but the small monochrome screen is starting to limit my productivity. And the new ones come with a DVD player, a new PowerPC G4 and a built-in Ethernet and modem!

I want to thank you all for your support for Flutter. It's astonishing to think our little project is sandwiched between VSCode and Linux. We owe you all so much. 💙🧑‍💻🎉🥳 #Flutter #OSS @github

OK, time for an unboxing thread with a difference. I needed to test some web apps written in #Flutter on a really low-powered device. TIL that you can buy a Lenovo Chromebook for LESS THAN $100? 🤯

I hope folk know that I'll _always_ be a big fan of Flutter. But here is an example of the kind of screen that SwiftUI makes really easy. A fun Friday challenge: try and recreate this in #Flutter :)
