The first time the three of us went to an away by car was to Cardiff, 45 years ago this week. A bit older, a bit greyer but still going...

Chelsea and City seemingly spinning that they were in some way unwilling accomplices in the ESL plans, and are only participating so as not to be ‘left behind’. One easy way to demonstrate that unwillingness. Walk away from the ESL,apologise to their supporters and move on.

Fair play to Werner, who I thought had a very decent game, for facing a Sky interview despite his goal drought. The goals will come for him, I’m sure.

Not sure if it is pricing or apathy but the Chelsea suits must be sweating a bit over the almost empty East Stand middle tier

Last time we played Leeds. LC away game 2012. A great night.

Bournemouth paid £12.9m last summer for Dean Hiijsen, who even to my untutored eye looks a heck of a centre-back and is only 19. Chelsea paid £38.5m for Disasi and £32.5m for Badiashile. Not sure what happened there?

Just checked the records and, regardless of what happens between now and season-end, Chelsea will have finished top London club for the 13th time in 16 seasons, which is pretty remarkable.

It is impossible to predict how the imposition of sanctions on RA will play out in terms of impact on Chelsea FC, nobody really knows, but given the atrocities happening right now in Ukraine it pales into utter insignificance.

So, despite some misinformation on here insisting it had been cancelled, the Peter Bonetti Memorial Event is going ahead as planned on Friday afternoon for those that already have a ticket. Good news, and a chance to pay respects to one of our greatest ever players

Desperately sad news about Peter Bonetti, the bravest and one of the very best goalkeepers ever to play for Chelsea. RIP.

Indeed. It just shifts the argument, not end it

My take on the announcement of Roman Abramovich’s departure.
Chelsea fan’s view: Abramovich was resented for upsetting football’s cosy world theguardian.com/football/2022/…
