    As for the hypothetical trade, the Cubs only "win" it under two circumstances. 1. Clase or Bieber represent well for the Cubs in an LCS and/or WS scenario. 2. Morel, Brown, and Caissie are sub-standard MLB players. Talk about drawing to an inside-straight. No, thanks.

    There are few justifiable reasons for Anthony Rizzo Kris Bryant Craig Kimbrel Andrew Chafin Javier Baez Ryan Tepera Zack Davies and a few others to still be on the Cubs roster on Friday.

    I'm not saying PCA will figure it out. I'm not saying he won't. I _am_ saying, Mike Tauchman starting 110 times in CF in 2024 sounds like a 4th place team.

    All. My dad died last night. I'm not sending this for sympathy. I'm sending this because kvetching about the Cubs backup catching situation, or who makes sense at 21 in next month's draft isn't something I care much about right now. When it's time, I'll try to educate again.

    I'm still amused when Cubs fans think Tom Ricketts is a terrible owner. He _may be_ a horrible _person_, but he's a far better owner than Jerry Reindorf.
