In 2020 companies promised to invest in racial justice and equity. They didn't. People are mad. I have a different story. That influx of money destroyed the momentum of the movement. Nobodys talking about it. So I wrote my thoughts. Give it a read martinhspeaks.substack.com/p/the-money-th…

For those who don't know, He had a sexual encounter, left, came back weeks later after wanting to confront the person about their gender identity to make sure he wasn't 'tricked', and beat them to death. Why are people celebrating this?

In my experience white people interpret neutrality or disinterest as hostility. If we are not constantly working to make them feel comfortable their fear of black people will move from latent to overt.
I never thought it would happen to me but I live with a bunch of white people and they conspired with the landlord to get me out of the house because I keep to myself and apparently this creates tensions in the house

There is a lot of talk about the overlap between incels and white supremacists, but the alt-right has a growing group that doesn’t get a lot of attention. Let me introduce you to Divestors, Black women who represent a gendered fascism. It's a wild thread. Buckle up🧵 (1/25)

It's so bad that you can't explain how he got off without directly citing homophobia and transphobia. Nobody deserves to die like that

Auntie Diaries ain't gonna push everyone farther to the left, but for the people who relate to Kendrick's experience, it absolutely will. For those who it doesn't, it's a conversation starter. That track is introducing something to mainstream hip hop that wasn't there before

From everything we know about the Black Panther Party (BPP), they would have supported Trans rights, so if you can't understand from an LGBTQ perspective, you should understand it from a Black Liberation one. 🧵(1/16)

Listen when black men say how their mental health is affected by seeing images of takeoff. Now imagine the impact of seeing George Floyd's death on social media every day for at least a year. How many times have you seen someone who looks just like you die?

People are all about black boy joy until too many black men are in one spot. Then we gotta prove we are being productive. Wonder where that comes from
Son: Dad, can we toss the pigskin today? Dad: No, son. Now put this suit on so we can stand in line and salute the camera. x.com/hartofamerica7…

A woman asked why men don’t open up. Men share how the confinement to rigid masculinity is enforced by the women in their lives who disallow vulnerability. To which women respond to by…blaming men. Which is why we don’t open up. It’s full circle
She asked why men go through things alone & all the men quoted this with stories of how women failed them. Do you see how useless male friendships are?! Because why aren’t they talking about their friends?
