- Jrue Holiday is in the NBA getting touches in the “dunker” while a lot of you forward/posts are going to be on the roster at DCU next season because you are dead set on having to prove your worth on the perimeter for 40 minutes…
- Clippers going over film with Coach Rivers. Notice the guys in the front row... Some guys are really about getting better, and some guys want it to come easy. Which are you?
- The only people surprised by the amount of NAIA/D2 schools beating LM-MM D1 schools are the people that refuse to live in reality. No way the truly informed and educated basketball professional/fan is still shocked when this happens year after year. Same goes for NAIA vs D2 games
- You are a low major D1 player. You are a high D2 player. You are a high NAIA player. Three independent statements that can be true as stand alone statements AND can all be true at the same time. 🤷🏻♂️
- Power 5 schools are recruiting NAIA players to help them win… I remember the days when recruiting was the other way around and we were trying to get Power 5 guys at our NAIA to help us win. Wild. Times.
- The great divide happens when players wait and wait for a D1 offer, never get it, finally decide that they will attend the NAIA/D2 that has been recruiting them, then realize they aren't the best player at their position at a non D1 school. Will it be Fight or Flight?
- Be weary of the guys that just love what basketball gives them (status, popularity, praise, etc). Find the guys that actually love basketball. Those are the guys that will fight to get into the rotation, get up extra shots, watch film, sacrifice to win games, etc. BIG difference!
- I see a ton of posts about D1 level 2021 kids not getting recruited because of the portal. Let’s see who’s really interested in getting recruited and who isn’t... Under recruited D1 kids, drop your info ⬇️ and link your highlights! Coaches‼️ Help em’ out‼️ Drop their info ⬇️‼️
- Hopefully you 2020 players are making plans to play with AAU programs that are going to put you in front of the “right” coaches. If you aren’t a D1 player, why travel hours upon hours outside of your “region” to play in front of MM+ coaches? Be smart!
- What a day! We’ve had an amazing outpouring of support from so many folks on campus and in the Pikeville community. Honored and thankful to officially be named the 16th Head Coach in @UPIKEBasketball history. Go Bears!
- Travel ball is winding down and you’ve been evaluated every live period for several years. You’ve been featured in tweets & articles. You shared highlights, game film, etc. You still don’t have a D1 offer. Maybe you can learn to love who loves you? Take that NAIA/D2 serious…

- Just an FYI: Even if your kid “doesn’t have to go NAIA” we may still be interested in recruiting him. Our schools let good students in too! It’s unfortunate gatekeepers cost kids GREAT opportunities because they lack the knowledge necessary to fully inform. 🤦🏻♂️
