My ex-girlfriend's father passed away from Covid about six months ago. The other day, a seagull shit on my truck's windshield right in front of me...and I knew that was him. I didn't smile as much, but I certainly understood the sentiment.

Because belief in untruths, in flawed, inaçcurate assumptions, in erroneous conclusions is, in itself, inherently harmful. It allows people to cocoon themselves in an echo chamber of confirmation bias, giving them license to adopt other, less innocuous beliefs.
