TODAY 392 years ago, on the 10th of August in 1628, the warship Vasa sank on her first journey, in Stockholm harbour. A catastrophe at the time, but today the salvaged ship is a treasure and an invaluable object from that continuously gives us new knowledge.

In the 1660s most of Vasas 64 cannons were rescued and sold. When the ship was rescued in 1961, the gun carriages remained in their places aboard, still today reminding about the missing cannons. In the project #FindingTheVasaCannon we find out more.
