- What happens when a friend asks me for book recommendations
- Just finished what may be my new favorite. The self reduced to almost nothing. The landscape in this book feels both ancient and ageless. First novel to make me cry in a good while.
- Blind Owl is perfect. Captures a state of nightmare as if it were written by one. In league with Dazai, Kafka, Dostoevsky, Ligotti, Molinard, Evenson, Dávila, NDiaye, Donoso.
- Exophony has some of my favorite writing on language, writing, and identity. Yoko Tawada was way ahead of the zeitgeist at her time of writing. Will be returning to this book often. Some of my favorite quotes below.
