since the Las Vegas mayor is making national news, I want to remind folks who don't know the area well that she has little control over the Vegas Strip.
Most of the Strip casinos (except the Stratosphere) are in unincorporated Clark County, not the city of Vegas.

- SF supervisors just voted 7-4 to send a recall reform measure to the June 7 ballot. among other things, it would prohibit recall elections within 1 year of the regular election for the office in question. that would have applied to the school board recall vote today
