After a couple years of having short hair, I told my husband I would grow my hair until he told me to stop…that was 15 years ago. Ladies, I dare you to do the same. 🧵

- Replying to @thegingerwolfeI bet most husbands would prefer his wife’s hair to be long, unless she constantly complains about her long hair or she neglects it by not styling it or always wearing it up.
- Replying to @thegingerwolfe“But I don’t have time for long hair!” It takes me 10 minutes to do heatless overnight curls and it looks nice for days.
- Replying to @thegingerwolfeShampoo only your roots, condition from the back of your head to the ends. Use a scalp oil, one with caster oil and rosemary. Brush gently and with a Wet brand brush to reduce breakage. Heat style and dye your hair as little as possible.
- Replying to @thegingerwolfeTips: Learn to style your hair so it looks nice down. Long hair can look frumpy if always left in a ponytail or messy bun. Do overnight heatless curls. If your hair is curly/wavy, check out the curly girl method.
- Replying to @thegingerwolfeIf you get bored, learn a new way to style it. Or use the money you would have used at the salon to buy a new dress. Wash your hair no more than twice a week. Use sulfate free shampoo and silicone free conditioner.
- I do trim it. It isn’t any longer because I reached my terminal hair length several years ago. I also started with a pixie cut. From what I understand, genetics plays a big role in how long your hair can grow. And yes, I am “around” 40 years old. 😆
- Replying to @lex222625Yes, pregnancy and nursing does take a toll on your hair! And I did wear it up more when I had babies always trying to grab it. Scalp oil, nutrition and time will be your best remedies.
- Replying to @StitchyBetsyOh I follow her too! Her hair is even longer than mine! Mine won’t get any longer, been this length for several years now. She has some great hairstyle tutorials. Just shows long hair doesn’t have to be boring!
- Replying to @lex222625I mix my own scalp oil. 1 part castor oil, 1 part olive oil and some drops of rosemary EO. I do use leave in conditioner. I like the Shea Moisture brand though that brand can be too heavy for more fine hair types.
- Replying to @marvlightwifeWash every other day to start. Your scalp will produce more oil the more you wash it. It takes a couple months for your scalp to adjust. Dry shampoo is great too. I like to mix my own scalp oil, 1 part castor oil, 1 part olive oil and some drops of rosemary EO.
- Replying to @Brian_SauveMy daughter has started reading the books and I told her Goldberry and Bombadil weren’t in the movie and she said “What?! But they are like the best characters!!” I was so proud.
- Replying to @jessix_tvThey last longer when you start with slightly damp hair and…don’t tell…but I blow dry over them for a few minutes when they’re wrapped up. 😆 So cheater “heatless” curls. Hope that helps!
- Replying to @DrHanesThere are a lot of great tutorials on YouTube for heatless curls. My preferred method is the ones with a robe belt. Hope that helps!
