    A favourite memory was when a crazy person put SWANS, Lee Perry and The Bug/Flowdan on tour together in Greece. Lee Perry bravely walked up to Gira, and said to his face "Whats your problem ?". G responds "I have many". Lee says "Your problem is you dont like yourself". Wisdom.

    In these times when the term genius is massively overused, today the world lost a real one, with the departure of Lee Perry(Rest in Peace). I was lucky enough to interview him once, and every sentence he output had at least three levels of meaning. A master, a huge influence.

    Last year i submitted my all time top 10 Shoegaze album list, for an online mag that never printed it 😂 (Possibly thought i had strayed too far ! ) Feel free to disagree.... (PS I couldnt get it down to 10. Lol Sure i left out classics too)

    Never ceases to stun me, just how perfect 'Laughing Stock' and 'Spirit of Eden' are...Talk Talk graduated to sublime peaks, echoing Miles Davis minimalism, Can's explorations of space, but with stunning vocals and enviable tone/texture/mood... Mark Hollis was a visionary artist

    Rest in peace Mark Stewart. Broken to read this news. Mark was a friend i valued as both inspiration, comedian and troublemaker.Big hearted as possible, 101% commited to the next thing. Original in every way, his spirit live will live on, but i miss him already..

    Big up @Bandcamp for turning me onto music that evades the hype machine, and giving diy musicians a platform to reach new fans direct... Doing a great job.. Lately Iranian sound designers, sudanese jazz and Alex Zhang Hungtai grabbed my ears due to the joys of BC Daily..🔥

    So shocked/sad to learn of Steve Albini departing this planet. Punk af/D.I.Y. to the core, he epitomized raw energy, and razor sharp intelligence/wit. Missed Big Black. Saw him slay via the (Unfortunately titled) Rapeman, Supported him as the incredible Shellac. Rest in peace...

    Rest in peace Peter Brötzmann. A monstrous tone, a massive personality, a jazz revolutionary, immense artist, with a huge heart and larger lung power. I was honoured to release an album by you. Condolences to his friends and family.
