Been commentating matches Kyra Cooney-Cross was playing in since 2016. As I mentioned on the broadcast this morning, in the NPLW she would score goals for fun. Today was a special way to mark 50 caps and a first Matildas goal. Now for a scoring streak like the old days!
For @NUFC fans looking for some quick Garang Kuol highlights - here are his four @aleaguemen goals from his break-out season.
Scored on debut April 5, four in eight by May 7, @Socceroos debut in September
Looking forward to one last call before he goes - #CCMvWUN on October 29
Five years and 22 days ago @AnnaHarrington joined me on air for the first time. Across 50 WPL/NPLW, NYL & @WLeague games Anna was on the sideline, an expert & play-by-play.
Today she's calling #WLeague#MVCvADL - nobody deserves the chance more 👊⚽️ Watch on the My Football app
Been commentating @stotty_13's games for 11 years...long may that continue. Welcome back to the field, congratulations on another milestone ticked off. beatitbystotty.com
Thanks @NMSMediaAU & @FCBulleenLions for the footage
This is out of line. You might see it from a faceless troll but to put your name to this from a blue check account is just bizarre. Disrespectful to the players and staff of both teams. #NEWvPER
Whoever is next for the Matildas, it can't be an overseas-based coach who spends their time in London watching the WSL each week.
Living in Australia when the A-League is on and attending the tournaments of age-group national teams should be a baseline requirement compared to
The Matildas go out in the group stage of #Paris2024
The least productive reaction would be to pin the blame entirely on Tony Gustavsson alone as a scapegoat.
Gustavsson has gone to great lengths to communicate the extent to which he has delegated (or abdicated) his
My high school mates and I were all-in on Simon Hill the moment he appeared on SBS. The final NSL goal. Great save again by Schwarzer. Cahill, Cahill, Tim Cahill has done it again. Paartalu 2-2.
Take your pick, he’s been the soundtrack of two decades! Thank you @simonhill1894
He's been the voice of football in Australia for more than two decades - now Simon Hill will call his final A-League match in Saturday's grand final. He's moving back to England, and says it'll be an emotional night as he hangs up the microphone. Watch Hill's A-League goodbye in
I try to steer clear of applying a pre-built narrative into commentary because I do prefer to go where the game takes us, but I went into last night cautiously optimistic that after a really bad 24 hours for 🇦🇺 (and 🇮🇹!) football we'd end the 90 feeling good again
@aleaguemen
They were rough. They were spiteful. They shithoused at every opportunity. Still...there goes the best damned friendly opponent The Matildas have ever had.
