The fact her and Jayce's perceptions of their relationship go in reverse - she starts off playing a political game and grows to care about him deeply, but then he grows out of his naivety to finally see the games she played at the start...
thinking about how terribly lonely mel must have felt after returning to piltover and being unable to emotionally reconnect with jayce, the only person she thought she had left
"be kind" in everyone's bio, but the second you see an angry disabled person (HOUSELESS also) yall turn into a middle school bully. Is it funny?? That a man living in hell on earth has a short fuse? Or is it his disabled body that you find comedic??? Yall are despicable.
The way Jayce asks him if he remembers the competition from years ago and talks about th and project they made, but the only memories Viktor brings up are about what Jayce was doing on that day, I think I hauve covid
And now that she just wants comfort and closeness with her friend, the choices she made come back to haunt her when he doesn't believe she didn't intend to leave his partner out of the protection of her magic. She didn't, they both know that she didn't, but the trust shattered...
Nothing says "i see you for who you truly are" like telling a terminally ill guy with months to live "you know there's always tomorrow, right? :)" about the work he's trying to use to save his life
In Poland they make fun of a dead pope. They use the color yellow to insult him and put his face on funny images and ironically sing catholic songs on the exact hour of his death.
honestly this scene is why i can never see mel and viktor getting along. she ignores him (a zaunite) completely, in favor of speaking about using their invention against his wishes to the co-creator who's more malleable to her will and has a higher social status.
she absolutely did, you can even see how in s1 she grows from using him for political gain into genuinely caring for him. The first thing she does in s2 is standing up to her mom and council against hextech weapons, bc that's against J&V's wishes and she knows it. Protects them.
using the scene where Mel completely speaks over and ignores the zaunite co-creator of hextech as he expresses his refusal to weaponize hextech (to use against his own people) and tells the Piltie councillor "the decision is his" as good manipulation sure is. a choice.
Great analysis. Mel wants hextech weaponized only for protection and she forbids its use for wrong reasons. Ambessa uses unethical methods to get hextech so she can weaponize it for personal gain.
