People change, and if we don’t celebrate them for it, we make it less likely that others will follow. So I think this rocks, and I applaud him. I also plan to continue keeping a close eye on his judicial votes.

- One of the many extremely appealing things about Walz is that he doesn’t appear to have had a grand plan to take over the universe. He appears to have gone into politics because he likes helping people, and risen because he’s really good at that. What a concept!
- Been thinking about it all day, and I'm not sure I can concoct a crueler policy than letting insurers charge a woman extra for being raped.
- Something interesting is going on: Fox News hosts (!) keep trying to signal to the Trump-Vance team that they’ve gone too far-right/cuckoo and offering them chances to do some clean-up. And the Trump-Vance team, being sincerely far-right/cuckoo, keeps declining the offer.Ingraham asks Trump about his comments telling Christian backers they won't have to vote again in 4 years. Trump responds by saying Jews should have their heads examined if they vote for Dems. Ingraham presses him & Trump doesn't exactly quell concerns he wants to end elections.

- The thing about most of these guys who are "socially liberal, fiscally conservative" is that they're not actually socially liberal.
- I don’t believe there has been a greater horror during the Trump administration than this policy of tearing infants away from their parents, detaining them, and in some cases allowing them to be sold into human trafficking. We should speak of nothing else until it is reversed.
- The reason these House Republicans haven’t walked back their lie that the election was stolen is that most of them believe it. I think we all tend to overestimate their cynicism and underestimate their sheer insanity, and the effect of far-right disinformation on their brains.
- Some of my best friends are Barack Obama.
- I don’t talk about this a lot (at least on Twitter! Privately, plenty of Holocaust talk) but I’m a grandson of Holocaust survivors and find this statement almost physically sickening, and deeply saddening.
