    This is the 16th State Championship in Lou Marinelli’s remarkable career. It is also the fourth undefeated season in program history for the Rams (1968, 1969, 2008, 2025). #cthsfb

    Most people I’ve asked…from college coaches to officials to players to media folks…have said it’s illegal and should have been an Unsportsmanlike Penalty. I haven’t heard anyone say it’s legal yet. Ended up not impacting the outcome, thankfully.

    Charlie O'Connor was a starting Senior LB for New Canaan on opening night in Shelton, when he suffered a season-ending broken leg in the 1st quarter. Today Charlie O'Connor was on the field as a RB for the last snaps in victory formation as the Rams won the Class L title. #cthsfb
