- According to the pool: President Trump's motorcade pulled into Trump International Golf Club at around 9:05am.I hope everyone is having a great Christmas, then tomorrow it’s back to work in order to Make America Great Again (which is happening faster than anyone anticipated)!
- The White House is on lockdown. The photo below is the door to the briefing room. (I’m stuck inside with many of the press corps finest) There is an intense protest across the street in Lafayette Park.
- It's worth noting this was sent 16 minutes after historically terrible GDP numbers came out and after the release of new unemployment data indicating first time claims are once again rising.With Universal Mail-In Voting (not Absentee Voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history. It will be a great embarrassment to the USA. Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???
- Ultimately President Trump's wife and daughter also chose not to cover their heads.Many people are saying it was wonderful that Mrs. Obama refused to wear a scarf in Saudi Arabia, but they were insulted.We have enuf enemies
- POTUS suggesting in today's briefing that deaths from COVID wouldn't so bad if you subtracted the "blue states." Those states are also part of America.
- Thanks to NPR HQ for shipping me KN95 masks so I could cover the final night of the Republican convention in person.
- AP has called New Hampshire and Minnesota for Joe Biden. Those were President Trump's two reach states. He lost them narrowly in 2016 and he insisted he could turn them red. And he spent a lot of time campaigning there.

- Trump started his speech seemingly trying to appeal to African Americans, who it would seem were not at the rally.
- The letter from the chief of the Office of Government Ethics to @SenSchumer and @SenWarren is pretty remarkable.
- "He rigged the system on his way out," President Trump criticizing former President Clinton in 2016...for doing exactly what Trump did in the wee hours of last night, revoking his ethics executive order that banned members of his administration from lobbying for 5 years.
