This kind of thing is so odd. It’s like Americans feel there’s some dangerous, unpredictable element within their public spaces that they must avoid at all costs. People in Europe and Asia don’t seem to feel this way.

It’s weird how tolerant the far right is. A shocking number of far right people act completely nice to me. They will talk with me, invite me into their spaces, listen to what I have to say, and then call me “he” at the end of it. The intolerance ends up feeling super localized.
