We were really privileged to be joined on the show by the great John Motson twice a week during the later years of his life, and that voice was just as iconic as it was ever was. We’ll really miss Motty and will be playing tribute to him from 1pm.

- We are beyond devastated at the news of Andy’s passing. He was our most treasured guest and friend, had the most infectious laugh, and it was an unspoken rule that we couldn’t do an outside broadcast without him. He packed so much in, was the most fun and we’ll miss him so much.
Shocking news.Andy Smart has died. We the Comedy Store Players are utterly heartbroken. We cannot say how much we will miss him. He was a joy. He laughed more than anyone we knew. He did so much crazy stuff but mostly he made our little world way more fun. We loved him so much. - Hard to believe Nige won’t be popping up with us to discuss The Baggies, the darts, or to dispel Andy’s ‘first bend’ speedway theories. A go-to voice over so many years, he warmly embraced @talkdants ‘Pearson About’ feature with that big smile. We’ll miss him - no mistake at all.RIP @NigelPearson 🙏 A talented commentator, reporter and the brilliant voice of our darts coverage. Nigel was part of the talkSPORT team right from the launch of the station. We’re all shocked by his death today.

Hi everyone, I’m afraid I bear some sad news. Most of you will know Dave has been fighting cancer for the past couple of years. Last night, on 28th February 2024, with Lili, Dave’s wife, his family, close friend David and myself by his side, he passed away peacefully at home. All - After four long months we’re all back together in the studio! And it’s safe to say Andy has come prepared...
