Dug up an old piece and was reminded that as a kid Colin Farrell loved Marilyn Monroe so much that he tried to share his Smarties with her.

When Martin Scorsese was 6, his Aunt Mary took him to a double bill of BAMBI and OUT OF THE PAST. He gave me 3+ hours of his time, to talk about our fragmented cinematic culture, KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON, & the Christ Pantocrator in Sinai. For starters. time.com/collection/tim…

So…my dear friend Alice (not on Twitter), a pro costume designer who has worked on movies and shows you most definitely have seen, made a customized Barbie of ME!! Or a cooler idea of me. But I must share its magnificence with YOU!!

Don’t know who did this one. Clearly a genius.

My mother turned 97 today. She’s in assisted living in central NY. Obviously, none of us can see her. But her caregiver had a cake for her, and could not even have a piece herself, because of Ramadan. Take just a moment to think of all those who are caring for the people we love.

Thank you, @poorlycatdraw, for capturing my Gracie's "Who, me?" cattitude perfectly.

Hate me if you must, but I’m not sure the Woody Allen memoir cancellation is a great thing for anyone who cares about art or due process.

I went to Amblin HQ to interview Steven Spielberg. He showed me some of his beloved Norman Rockwell paintings; I met (from afar) his parrot, who loves only him; and we talked about THE FABELMANS and family, and how the hardest things to face are sometimes the most beautiful.

I know we're all sick of thinking/talking about The Incident, but one thing I don't think we should "get over and move on from" is how much contempt that Oscars show had for movies as a form. And that was something they -could- have controlled.
