Honestly, if Starbucks leaves Malaysia, what do we lose, actually? It's not like coffee drinkers will go dry. Their cafes will get taken over by other chains. So, why support foreign franchises? Let's support our home grown franchises instead.

I grew up in Malaysia, went to national schools, graduated from a local university. Never did I hide my food and drink during Ramadan. I don't know where this 'respect us fasting' shit came from. It certainly didn't come from my teachers nor mates.

WTF?!! People should not have to draw on their retirement plans to pay for health insurance, or any insurance! So wrong... Just raise wages - so that people can afford to buy health insurance, and save up for retirement.

We cannot change the fact that UiTM exists. What can change is the abuse of the institution. If it was founded to help the poor, then let that be it's main criteria. Poverty does not discriminate. Prioritise the B40 kids who meet academic criteria. Stay true to the cause.

I am reminded of something said by my Malaysian Studies prof at uni - that Malay culture is no longer practiced. A lot of Malays have lost their cultural identity, appropriating Arabic culture instead. Someone should start a movement to preserve it, lest it be lost forever.

The gov is making a huge mistake with this. This does not make it safer for consumers. It actually makes it less safe when an ISP breaks trust with its own customers to intercept TLS. Nothing is safe any more. The commercial implications are huge.

Since JAKIM already get billions in annual funding, my humble suggestion to the gov - make Halal certification free for all Malaysian registered businesses/entities. Then everyone will apply. 100% guaranteed. Orang kita memang tak boleh tahan benda free. Win-win la kan?
