    tbh i hope some media scholar maps out how we got from “reading the news” to “consuming the news” to “consuming news related content” to just “consuming content”, bc i’m v curious about that timeline
    to commit to a "social first" strategy, whatever the fuck that means, is to see your audience not as readers or thinkers or people but consumers, seeking nothing more than 10,000 25-second videos that they will never remember, and that is such a dark outlook i can't take it
