    We are aware of the fire at Elephant and Castle and we hope everyone is OK. If you've been evacuated and need somewhere to go our door is open for you to charge your phone, have some water or take a seat in our bar. We are 77-85 Newington Causeway - two minutes from the station.

    Today, we welcomed another member of the Playhouse team back from furlough. Tomorrow, we're gonna announce an *actual* show. It all feels super cautious, as it should, but for the moment... we're getting there 🙌

    This autumn, we're picking up where we left off in the spring. Jason Robert Brown's iconic musical The Last Five Years returns to The Large from 1 to 31 October 2020 in a newly configured socially distanced auditorium with a limited seating capacity.

    We're on a quest to become a totally plastic-free theatre so as well as always offering free tap water, we've switched to cans of water at the bar because they're completely recyclable and go from our green bins back to the shelf in as little as 60 days. Cheers!
