A person chose to ignore advice she felt was contrary to her wishes, which was her choice, and she’s happy for that. She chose to have her baby. The doctors were giving what they felt was their best advice (I’m assuming). My mother was also given a choice, and chose my brother.

This always makes me cry. My mom took care of the first two AIDS patients at her hospital. Some other nurses refused. She worried she’d catch a cold and pass it to them, and said they were very frail, very vulnerable. She was gowned and masked “for their safety, not mine.”
