We are very excited to welcome Cst. Jeff Wood back after his successful rehabilitation from the serious injuries he sustained on duty earlier this year. Thank you to his family, friends, the Wellness Unit, and Employee Services who provided great support throughout his recovery.
We honoured a hero today. Cst. Shaelyn Yang, a member of the @BurnabyRCMP Mental Health and Homeless Outreach Team served her community with bravery and made the ultimate sacrifice. Rest in peace, Constable Yang.

After a truly difficult day for SPS, we want to take a moment and thank the first responders on the scene that did everything they could to help our officer. We are working to support the officer’s family and friends, and our colleagues during this difficult time.

Cst. Madison Ford recently received a Deputy Chief Constable Commendation for her lifesaving actions. Earlier this year Cst. Ford attended a call for a man suffering severe trauma. She reacted quickly & performed life-saving measures until paramedics arrived. #FrontlinePolicing
The Province of BC has announced that Surrey’s policing transition will be completed. SPS is pleased to see a final resolution to this matter and looks forward to continuing to work with the community to build a modern, local police service for Surrey.

Today we honour and remember Constable Adrian Oliver who served with the @SurreyRCMP Ten years ago, Constable Oliver was killed in the line of duty. We remember your sacrifice and we honour your bravery.
Tonight one of our deployed SPS officers is recovering after being stabbed while responding to a call for service. Thankfully the injuries are non-life threatening and the officer is expected to be released from hospital shortly. Further details will be released by @SurreyRCMP
