I can’t save toshiro/shuro from people validly hating him. HOWEVER I wish white fans would understand the nuance of his character and his relationship with laios and how laios at the end of the day is a white man. an autistic one. but still white.

Like I feel like laios and falin are similar yet different at the same time. So I hate when people reduce her to a manic pixie dream girl or say she’s just a girl version of Laios. His interactions with her are just different than Laios 😭

Yeah but that’s not toshiro’s character. He’s the opposite of laios. He isn’t direct, he reserved, and he isn’t open. So ofc he wouldn’t have said anything earlier. However my point is that his attitude towards laios is also influenced by Laios ignorance towards him
