" I am one of 62 people in the whole world and very likely the only African to have co-founded two unicorns – Andela and Flutterwave. I am grateful to my country, Nigeria. I have repeatedly said that in no other country on earth would my story have been possible.” 1/2

Not just Nigeria but the entire world should learn how to do religion from Yoruba people They are as committed & as organized as anyone. But I know of non more tolerant of ‘otherness’ in faith than the Yoruba, few less judgmental. I have been a student of unrivaled humanity.

Nigeria is not an oil-rich country, unless rich now has a different meaning. I have never heard anyone describe the US as oil-rich though they produce 6 times as much crude as Nigeria. The illusion of oil wealth is misleading and has lead to a lifestyle we cannot sustain.

Nigeria has an oversupply of critics, clerics, comics, comrades and clowns but sadly, is clearly lacking people who get things done. Just get on with it, we already know all that is wrong with us - march if will, build, teach, invest, give-let’s take a break from nonstop yakking

Reading to my little girl and wondering why all the tales are about wicked step mothers and evil witches.. where are the stories to warn her about all the unpleasant men she will encounter?

Wealth is not complicated. To be wealthy, you must invest. To invest, we must build (borrow) capital. To build capital, we must save. To save, we must earn more than we spend. We need education to earn more, We need discipline to spend less. Knowledge + discipline = Wealth

I recently found out that it cost more than N20m for the state to educate one doctor In America, they would have to borrow at N100m & spend the rest of their career paying back But once educated, many carry their bags and walk to earn the better life, debt free #WeAreNigeria

90% of Nigerians were born after 1966 Think about that. 90% of us cannot reasonably be held accuntable for the events that happened that year or the 3 years that followed. 9 out of every 10 Nigerians you meet are also victims of our history. There’s a reset button, use it.

First you tell the world Nigeria is a zoo.. Then you hear @TwitterSF has chosen @GhanaPresidency as their WA headquarters & you are wondering why. If you can’t sell yourself, nobody will buy you. Nigeria remains the heartbeat of Africa, our current struggles notwithstanding.

A message to my president-to-be. It’s Monday 27th February, 2023. The results are in, the concessions received. You are now Mr President-in-waiting. Congratulations, you have done it. Now the real work starts, there’s no break for nation builders.

Come 2023, Nigeria will have a new president. He is unlikely to win 50% of votes cast, meaning more people would vote for a different outcome. He will be president of Nigeria; your president. And he will inherit a very difficult job, made more complicated by the coming winter.

If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse, and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality. Desmond Tutu
