When you use the explicitly human terms (men, boys, women, girls) you are expected to use them all and respectfully.
- adding monsters to the backrooms/liminal spaces in general takes away the liminalness of it. its a liminal space because its isolated. empty. hollow and lifeless. the fear is that you are TRULY alone. and maybe some people dont get it and think monsters are scarier, but still.
