- In startups there are 3 types of people: 1. Ankle Weights - They actively fight performance culture, ambitious goals, and accountability. They fight to make things go slower and worse. And they ALWAYS have great reasons.
- Lots of you know and love Tyler. He’s back in the ICU and it’s scary. Tyler believes in prayer as do I. Asking you all to take a minute and say one for Tyler’s recovery, his family, and his drs. He’s an amazing friend to so many. I know lots will send prayers andIt’s been a wild 7 days. -Last Saturday bad cough -Sunday got worse -Monday went into ER -lung abscess > pneumonia > early sepsis -Body teeming with infection 5 days of heavy pain meds, oxygen, constant IV finally out of hospital. Resting at home. Wild!

- Replying to @sterlingmsnow3. The Pace Setters - These people come into any situation and immediately the bar is raised, the pace is quickened, and everyone feels their presence and the pressure to keep up.
- There are 3 levels of "excellence" to achieve as a startup employee. 1. You execute exactly what is asked of you, on time and well done. Strict orders ---> Strict Execution

- We're announcing fund 8. $500M to invest in early stage startups. I've gotten to see both sides of Pelion. As part of the team, we're obsessed with building Utah and our ecosystem. The partners and firm as a whole are full of some of the kindest people I've ever met.
- Every person who tells you to get out of the details is wrong.Replying to @NaithanJonesThat is what they teach in business school, but I have found that 95% of top CEOs violate this principle.
- Replying to @sterlingmsnow3. You create meaningful outcomes out of complete ambiguity. Nothing ---> Incredible Value The startups with the most category 2/3 folks win.
- If you’re driving through Silicon Slopes you’ll notice the Divvy billboard looks different. You won’t see our logo but you’ll see our support. War is terrible and we pray for the people caught in its path. 🇺🇦💪
- Replying to @sterlingmsnow2. The Adapters - These people will generally adapt to whatever the current culture. So if someone else is pushing they push, if someone else is chilling they chill.
