The claim by @BorisJohnson that there are "no new non tariff barriers to trade" in the EU Agreement is jaw dropping. The whole purpose of 2000 pages is to create barriers that do not exist today.

Congratulations to Sophie Ridge. It is not OK for Claire Coutinho to talk about Keir Starmer's "meat tax" or Mark Harper to talk about local authorities powers to "limit shopping choices"? When did it become part of a minister's job to promote non-existent conspiracy theories?
Sky's Sophy Ridge reads out part of the Energy Secretary's speech where she says, 'there's no wonder Labour seem so relaxed about taxing meat...' - and asks: "You didn't write that, did you? They're not proposing a meat tax?" #PoliticsHub ๐Ÿ‘‰ trib.al/ftpea6d ๐Ÿ“บ Sky 501

Today Michael Gove promises "the worldโ€™s most effective borderโ€ between Britain and its primary market. Gove's border will destroy jobs and remove freedoms from UK citizens. To call this a โ€œnew opportunityโ€ is what George Orwell called Newspeakโ€.

56% of voters say Brexit was a mistake. Every significant econmist confirms it is the root cause of Sunak austerity. But the official opposition dare not call it out. No wonder trust in politics is low. What use are politicians who are frightened of the truth?

I was in the Cabinet Blair defeated in 97. Nobody said election result meant I should join Labour. Time for Brexit opposition to mobilise

Brexit in 280 characters. Voters support Brexit with "exact same benefits" as EU membership. May negotiates soft Brexit. Parliament says no. Johnson leads Tory coup and claims mandate for hard Brexit. Time for the people to speak. See you at Parliament next Saturday. Speak out.

And so it goes on. Tories plot against the PM but have no better ideas. Labour looks both ways. Farage blames everyone else. Brexit is a disaster which is destroying our country. Only the people can decide. Only Change UK can make it possible.
So... 1. No new backbench or grassroots move against May 2. No breakthrough in cross party talks 3. No sign any MPs moving to back PM's deal if ministers hold a vote on Withdrawal Bill soon, maybe even next week, which some expect.... anything changed since the break?

After 49 years as a Conservative I realized in 2019 that my my party had left me. It is long past the time for liberal Conservatives to sign up with @LibDems

I am delighted and honoured to have been asked to stand for @BucksLibDems. @Conservatives have changed and Liberal Conservatives should do as recommended today by @MatthewParris.

Very unclear what is going on here. GTECH (competitor of Dyson. based in my home city of Worcester) apparently told their offer of 500 ventilators was not required by NHS. NHS needs all the ventilators it can get.
Gtech told not to produce much-needed ventilators by the government, chief executive says worcesternews.co.uk/news/18339699.โ€ฆ @stephen_dorrell please help us hold the Conservatives accountable when this is over.

I was a member of @Conservatives for 49 years. Like @bobwalteruk, and millions of Conservative voters I was a Liberal Conservative. @BorisJohnson has chosen the path of nationalism supported - as nationalism always is - by distortions and lies. Time to join @LibDems
My subscription to the @Conservatives is overdue. After watching the leader of the party on tv tonight it may be overdue for a little longer. I have been a party member for 55 yrs and sat on the Conservative benches in the Commons for 18 yrs. Heavy heart and sorely disappointed

Ministers are now telling voters "you voted for Brexit; you must accept the consequences". That is the opposite of the truth. Tory MP's chose a hard Brexit - which is why most of them should soon be unemployed.

What is the point of being an MP if you are not willing to vote against proposals which damage the interests of your constituents and your country?
Astounding. @AmberRuddHR admits that Johnsonโ€™s deal will cause huge damage to the economy, and that sheโ€™d prefer regulatory alignment included, but says sheโ€™ll vote for it anyway. Itโ€™s not a compromise. Itโ€™s a walkover by the hard right. Wake up Amber.
