- Happy Korematsu Day! On Jan 30 we celebrate the legacy of a civil rights hero, Fred Korematsu, who defied US government orders to report to a Japanese American internment camp in 1942. His court case was a landmark. He later received a Presidential Medal of Freedom #korematsuday

- Today is the Day of Remembrance. In 1942, FDR signed Exec Order 9066, which led to internment of 120,000+ Japanese Americans. It was only 4 yrs ago that our country again targeted people for exclusion based on national origin. We must remember & remain vigilant #DayOfRemembrance
- Our election results in Michigan have been certified. US Dept of Homeland Security officials noted that this was the most secure election in American history. We had record voter turnout and should celebrate that. Let's uplift truth, democracy, and decency.
