Notes from the school grapevine. Parents are starting to clock thet their children can get Covid multiple times, and that it isn't always just a walk in the park. And that they have been sold a load of bs about herd immunity by infection. And where are vaccines for under-12s?

I did think this government would try to privatise the NHS someday, but it never occurred to me they would deliberately collapse it to facilitate that process. We are not safe.

Parents are being told they have to send their kids in to school even as new cases in their class keep appearing. @UKLabour it would be a good time to say something.

In our experience, a mask does not cause anxiety or mental health problems for kid. Know what does? The incessant bullying that kid endures for wearing a mask.

I am disgusted that there are no measures to protect primary school children. Absolutely revolting that they are just sitting ducks for Omicron. Shame on those who brought us to this hell point.

EVERYONE AT THIS PRESS CONFERENCE HAS FORGOTTEN THAT CHILDREN EXIST

Cases just keep going up qnd up in our area. Schools. This is never going to end. Because they refuse mitigations for schools. And where are the 5-11 vaccines?

Two sudden deaths by heart attack in my circle in three weeks. People in my age range. Go ahead, keep lying to me about everything being "normal". Want me to stop taking precautions? Then %##@!!!!

So now the news is covering kids getting Covid, school disruption, and child hospitalisations. Finally. We would expect the government to do something. What is the government doing? Falling over themselves to protect the Prime Minister from accountability.

I had read about sudden onset vomiting with this new variant. Then today in a very public place an adult vomited not far from me. Given her location she was clearly not expecting it. I have never seen such a thing before. It's worth wearing a mask to avoid.

I remember the AIDS crisis. First the minimizers said it didn't exist. Then when patients got louder they tried to demonize them. AIDS activists didn't give up. They acted up. Something similar happened yesterday with #LongCovidAwarenesDay . Keep acting up, everyone. πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

A government that does not realise that reinfections mean a need for a serious rethink is not fit for purpose.
