- I just learned tonight what “Netflix and chill” meant. To all those I’ve inappropriately used this phrase with, I’m truly sorry, I really thought this meant relax and watch Netflix, which I do a lot. 😬
- It’s been a tough few weeks. My 10yo daughter was diagnosed with a very rare, aggressive cancer called interdigitating dendritic cell sarcoma (IDCS). I’m reaching out to identify clinicians/patients who have encountered pediatric IDCS, indeterminate dendritic cell histiocytosis
- Good news. After 2 rounds of venetoclax, GO, + chemo, my daughter has had a complete response. No detectable signs of the tumor that had completely shut her eye, which she was dangerously close to losing. 🙏🏾 to the amazing team @StJude & the community for helping us get here.
- Prepping the last dose of the last round of chemo for my daughter. 30 10mg pills packed into 6 size 0 capsules (she couldn’t get the larger pills down). Excited and hopeful to never do this again. 🤞
- I usually leave politics off this site. But the amount of antisemitism on display is pretty crazy. To all my Jewish friends and colleagues, I’m sorry and realizing I really didn’t understand/see it until now.
- Quick update: Thanks so much for the outpouring of support and help. We learned a lot in the last week and the tumor is actually a myeloid sarcoma likely derived from early AML, with the hope of possible targeted therapies as well (KMT2Ar). - Unveiling SwabSeq. We repurposed a part of @OctantBio's platform to detect #SARSCoV2. We think the method is cheap (~1$), sensitive (1-6 molecules), quantitative (3-4 logs), and scalable (10k/day w/o automation; much more with). Lots of details below, I’ll lead with data [1/14]
- Replying to @1JoeCrabbMy kids are still pretty naive apparently and we use the phrase in our family to watch netflix and relax. I'm now trying to figure out how to tell them not to say that anymore.
