1/ The RealReal ($REAL) stock is up >7x in ~2 years. Company accelerated growth improving marketing efficiency and profitability. As CMO during most of this time, some thoughts ⬇️

Carta finally released their private stock trading platform (the dream in their original thesis). It's really interesting to see what discounts late stage privates are trading at. There's a handful of companies tho that are actually trading at a premium. Guess which ones? :)

1/ As I wrap my first year of leading Growth at @tryramp , wanted to share reflections on the team, systems and culture reset that led to a phenomenal year in a challenging macro environment (>top decile growth, material improvements on a healthy payback period).

Love to see this level of conviction from the $OPEN executive team!
We're all in on the long-term opportunity at $OPEN. Actions speak louder than words: I'm personally buying more stock, and all members of our executive team have canceled their 10b5-1 selling plans.

Yeah two big flaws with analysis one is assuming retail spend is coke revenue. 2 is assuming that coke share in general soda is same as snap soda buying. Snap buyers often favor cheaper and generic brands of soda given limited budget.

1/ Exciting professional news to share – Recently took the CMO role at @therealreal. They combine three of my favorite things – (1) Marketplaces; (2) Sustainability ( 🥰🌎) and (3) exceptionally well-made goods

Outstanding results from @Opendoor and @ericwu01 >$5B revenue and GAAP NI profitable (how many recent IPOs can say that). $OPEN crushed consensus on growth (6x YoY) and profit $ on GAAP and non-GAAP metrics. Adj EBITDA 5x higher than consensus. Very proud of my former team.

Really interesting approach from $open. Is this the first time a public company has created a platform for retail investor feedback and transparency? Props to @shrisha for shipping quickly to the market moment.
Today, we’re launching community.opendoor.com, a central hub we’ll use to provide consistent and transparent updates about Opendoor’s business, leadership, and strategy. Since 2014, Opendoor has worked to reshape one of the world’s largest housing markets. But building the most

$OPEN has a ~11% levered FCF yield (~6% unlevered FCF). And growing topline at 600% YoY. The market really is throwing babies out with the bath water rn.

1/ Some professional and personal news: I’ve joined @tryramp to work on Growth. A few thoughts for anyone curious:

It’s awesome to see the momentum back in @Opendoor. Thanks to @ericjackson for bringing the attention. I know so many Opendoor alums who bought back in more stock recently (including myself).

I’m Opendoor’s cofounder holding millions of shares 💎 🙌 I still believe in the business model and they’ve made big positive changes in the last year. Including bringing back Yang and making him Chief Investment Officer 🐐

It's official. I'm moving to Miami! Who should I hang with that's in the tech and venture ecosytem in Miami (besides @rabois and @zebulgar ofc)?

Today’s news was truly extraordinary re: $OPEN. Perhaps the first example of a US public company CEO change catalyzed by retail investor enthusiasm. The company was literally about to do a reverse stock split a month ago to stay listed.
Retail investors forced $OPEN CEO to resign. The world of investing will never be the same.
