- May 17, 2014- On this day in Spain Park Baseball History, the Jags defeated Sparkman 9-4 in game 3 of the Class 6A state finals, to claim the school's first State Championship. Senior RHP Tristan Widra picked up the win and Senior RF John Sumner was named Finals MVP.
- Outstanding performance by Spain Park’s Trent Thompson in ALABCA HS All-Star game with Two Doubles, an RBI, and he threw two out stealing 2nd as Catcher!
