- Replying to @MrGoldBrolol the demand for spaceX shares is there, they don't need the additional capital because Starlink prints $
- Replying to @nikitabierALL OF THE SLOP ON MY TIMELINE. I ONLY WANT TECHNICAL CONTENT THAT WILL HELP ME GET SMARTER OR BUSINESS CONTENT THAT WILL HELP ME GET RICHER.
- Replying to @nilsxorFinally a good post on the TL. Are there any github repos that have this UI?
- Replying to @redbullfuturist @ADoricko and @tfeldmann"but what you won't do is go to the space coast hard tech hackathon. you see, it's too early for you. you go to places only after they've been validated by VCs in sweater vests and market alpha's gone. plus the alligators would probably eat you anyways."
- Another problem (investable!) is fertility tech. Many women have complications during pregnancy (like preeclampsia) that are generally unsolved. Massive barrier to having additional kids.Replying to @shaunmmaguire... family size is largely memetic. We need to not only normalize families with 3 or more children, but laud them. Anchoring people on two children (~replacement) ignored the fact that many do not have children.
- Replying to @itswithinme_What's the macro reason for this? No easy alpha in PE anymore?
- Replying to @Incog1986 and @boneGPTwhat is the byzantine paperwork process? you can just go on Clerky or Stripe Atlas and spin up an entity in less than an hour. not saying more Americans shouldn't be starting startups but let's not turn into Europe now. "Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater."
- Replying to @benkohlmannNeurotech is to 2024 what Hard Tech was to 2022. Currently fringe, but seeing lots of energy on it in the SF tech scene among true believers.
- Replying to @codyaimsyep. i wonder when the legacy primes will truly start to internalize why anduril/palantir are kicking their butt. even with M&A they're not acquiring VC backed startups, but the normal crew of beltway services firms. odd.
- Replying to @ctjlewisyep. this accurately depicts how SV operates today. the valley to be slightly less transactional because there were *genuine weirdos* who liked tech, now they've been replaced by the striver class (e.g. the harvard/stanford dinner fiasco types on the TL earlier this week).
- Replying to @rajsarkar and @garrytanThat's exactly what he's saying
- Replying to @bilalfarooqui and @hthieblotI disagree. Memes move markets. The "0.2% founding engineer working almost as hard as the founder" meme has penetrated X and i'm seeing smart founders countersignal this in hiring by being more generous in equity.
