- This is HUGE! ⚡️Prisma 7 will be up to 3x faster for queries loading large amounts of data ⚡️Bundle size 85% smaller Coming later this year. We're happy to share an update on our move from Rust to TypeScript! In this edition: smaller bundles, faster queries, and no more binaries! Blog post link below 👇
- I just announced Prisma for React Native and Expo on stage at @appjsconf 🎉🎉🎉 It comes with Reactive Queries for easy global state management and we are working on an integrated sync service. Check it out and share your feedback: pris.ly/expo
- When we remove Fossil Fuel subsidies, Renewables triumph.Good morning with good news: Solar skyrockets in Nigeria, after big subsidies for gasoline and diesel were ended. BNEF says solar capacity now will triple to 1.6 GW within a year. Nigeria may use off-grid solar to "build grid-scale volumes." @solar_chase bloomberg.com/news/features/…
- Replying to @asmah2107This is how we operated @graphcool in 2016 - the product that eventually became @prisma. We had 100k+ apps deployed on the platform, all with their own database schema in a single AWS Aurora instance. It worked remarkably well in the beginning. But as soon as these apps started
- This is going to be a lot fo fun! Join us here to learn how @prisma solves the connection pooling problem for Serverless Applications 🎉Let’s make the Web. Faster. Join us October 26 for our Global Community Conference and see the future of Next.js. nextjs.org/conf?v=3
- 🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀 Join @prisma to write open source @rustlang code used by hundreds of thousands of developers. Prisma Client is a really nice ORM, and the Query Engine is the foundation of our Application Data Platform. boards.greenhouse.io/prisma/jobs/53…
- The @prisma ORM team has been doing some serious overhaul of all code-paths involved in startup performance. Combined, these changes will dramatically improve the experience on serverless functions. This is just the most recent improvement
- Replying to @AdamRackisThis benchmark claims that Prisma is 10x slower than drizzle. This is not true, and never was true. We haven’t been able to get them to take it down, so instead we show up whenever this fake benchmark is brought up.
- This is why @prisma is all-in on Cloudflare 🎉 We think of it as the next generation General Purpose cloud platform.Cloudflare is 100x more fun to build on than anything else. There is no stress worrying about infra. I just created a service, deployed it with no regard for location or capacity, connected a KV and DB within minutes, and now it’s serving 200+ users without fail.
- Cloudflare Workers is awesome, and now you can set up a Postgres database that has been specifically designed to work in this environment. With automatic connection pooling and global caching.Prisma Postgres 🤝 @Cloudflare Workers We’ve just shipped a brand new guide that shows you how to build + deploy a full stack serverless app using Prisma + Workers in just a few minutes! pris.ly/cf-workers-ppg
- Replying to @eric_seufertWhat exactly are we measuring here? Inflation has been higher in US than EU.
- Replying to @AiongTaigi and @HCLPOIndeed. US is heavily regulated when it comes to zoning. Much more so than pretty much all European countries and most of the rest of the world. Makes no sense that it’s illegal to build a corner store where people live.
- Replying to @annaholliganCargo bikes are awesome! It’s wild how so many people completely ignore the cost of owning a car and then point to cargo bikes as some kind of luxury item for lazy academics. Doesn’t make any sense.
