- Everyone trying to reimagine or rebuild journalism must remember one thing: for all the disillusionment, only a restively small segment has given up on journalism. People still crave it, and they would love us to succeed. That’s a beautiful gift.
- Every time a journalist quotes the most extreme view at a rally while making no real effort to understand why people feel that way, a child’s ice cream cone falls on the ground. Think about what you’re doing.
- A reminder that lots of people think Black communities don’t tackle problems themselves because that’s how a lot of journalism covers them.
