We need to call privatization what it is: adding a profit tax on to a public good. A public post office puts all it's resources towards delivering mail. A privatized post office will diver a large chunk of it's income to shareholders. In what universe is that better?

During one secretive meeting in the 90s, billionaires Stewart and Linda Resnick managed to seize control of a big chunk of California's water supply. They own Wonderful Pistachios, POM pomegranate juice, Fiji, and more brands you recognize.
One billionaire couple owns almost all the water in California. In 1994, the Resnicks secretly seized control of Californiaโ€™s public water supply. Now theyโ€™ve built a business empire by selling it back to the rest of us.
