- Boone Kirst of Ashwaubenon was named AA State Tournament MVP. His father, Mark, was MVP of the same tournament for Ashwaubenon's 1992 state champion. - Today marks the official start of my 25th year at St. Norbert College. Time sure goes quickly.
- Highway 29 West may freeze over tonight with all those tears heading back to beyond the St. Croix River.
- Big day tomorrow for baseball in our little town.De Pere advances to Championship Sunday with a 13-0 win over Fargo, N.D., Post 400. Wyatt Fischer 48-pitch complete-game win. Kaden Kosobucki three-run HR and Benje Hencke was HR short of the cycle. De Pere faces Hopkins, Minn., in Game 14 at Noon Sunday. #OneDePere
- With everyone back on campus today and both high schools starting next week, a good time for this reminder about leadership.
- On an absolutely gorgeous day at one of my favorite places in De Pere, the sun sets on Year 25 and Semester 50 at Norbs. #tSNC
- This was a special achievement. Handed out uniforms at 10 a.m. Friday. Everyone could have mailed it in after winning WIAA state title Thursday night. Nobody did. Impressive when lack of commitment and me-first thinking runs rampant in society. It is what winners do. #OneDePere2024 Wisconsin Rapids Tournament Champions with a 9-7 win over our top rival, Eau Claire. Great start to season at 4-0. Everyone on roster contributed. - I just realized this week marks the start of my 22nd year at St. Norbert. Just about half a lifetime. Where does the time go?
- I'm not afraid of catching the virus, or what would happen after. What I am afraid of is having what I've worked 44 years to build diminished. Physically. Mentally. Spiritually. Professionally. And if it is, then I guess it just needs to be rebuilt even stronger.
- Quite a start for baseball at the NACC Tournament. I could tweet about how none of our guys earned All-NACC honors, but that wouldn't be very nice. So I won't.
- One of my favorite photos is from the dedication of Tim Coghlin Rink and sharing again since it was a big day for Green Bay's first family of hockey. A NCHA playoff title for Tim, a repeat state title for Joseph and a very happy and proud wife/mom Barb and daughter/sister Faith.
- MBA is now complete. What will I do with all this free time?
- Today Ripon had three sac bunts in first inning in first game at St. Norbert. Only third time it has happened in Division III history. Westfield State in 2002. I was also scoring the first time - UW-Oshkosh against UW-Whitewater in 1997. What are the odds I'd be at two of those?
