Saints, when discussing tense matters with fellow Christ-followers, it can be helpful to (1) use biblical language & paradigms, avoiding secular combat rhetoric & (2) engage as a family member seeking to persuade, rather than a lobbyist or activist seeking to maneuver an opponent

With the amount of prominent moral or legal “falls” in my denominational family, one of the most consistent voices (multi-decade) among us has been a non-SBCer - Tony Evans - loved his wife until death - pastored one church faithfully - nationwide, love-your-neighbor impact

that look when you’re not surprised: - a white guy would walk around a store with a KKK hood - a #black guy could be murdered for 🤷🏾‍♂️ being #black - a D.A. has to “decide” whether to prosecute #white shooters - high schoolers could playfully video/declare their hate of #niggers

There’s a certain lack of integrity/hypocrisy in part of the annual meeting of the #SBC21 - pastors do things in the business meeting that would NEVER want members in their local congregations to do. They’re bullish, they’re repetitive, and they seek to manipulate procedures. 🤦🏾‍♂️

Saints, I’m amazed the Church existed for 2,000+ years without the hermeneutical insights of late-twentieth-century biblical scholars. impressed they’re the first to “really” understand Hebrew, Greek, & Greco-Roman culture. Glad they’ve clarified that there are waaay fewer sins.

misogynistic coward - one who attacks a woman 👩 for accepting an invitation from a man 👨 , but doesn’t call out the man 👨because ... it’s easier to attack a woman 👩 If sisters stand in any of the 45k+ SBC pulpits, it’s because men invited them. Attack them, cowards.

In light of fatherlessness, lack of non-romantic relationships, & increasing young male suicide rates, Boy Scouts goes unisex. In light of overwhelmed foster-care systems, more states hassle volunteer Christian agencies. That's progress? We're not just sinful, we're plain dumb.
