After a 13-month refurbishment & renovation project, the North helipad is open for landing. The brand-new 20,000 sq ft deck features upgraded fire suppression and foam systems, a new snow-melt system, security improvements, advanced technology to aid pilots and more.

The R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at University of Maryland Medical Center sees the largest volume of trauma patient admissions in the state — 5,674 patients in 2023. About 30% of patients are transferred from other hospitals and trauma centers. #shocktrauma #MDGA24
