Why are the Shia looked at in derision by Sunnis and associated with innovations and shirk? We often blame the Salafi propaganda machine, and while that plays a significant role, we need to reflect on ourselves.
The truth is Syrian Sunnis were not sectarian before the revolution. They loved Hezbollah, they loved Sayyid Hassan, they had no problem with Shia.
It was the Shia "Resistance" preventing them from overthrowing their oppressors that made many of them hate Shia.
Saddam killed thousands of Muslims (Sunnis included) in Iraq & Kuwait and is hailed as a hero for killing two Israelis by the same braindead pigs saying they can't side with Iran against Israel because they killed Muslims in Syria.
It's not about Iran. It's about them being Shia
Wahhabis: Ibn Taymiyya said Shia are traitors!!!
Muslims: That was 700 years ago, the situation has changed
Wahhabis: NOOO!!! Ibn Taymiyya said it!!!
Muslims: Ibn Taymiyya also said Shia are Muslims
Wahhabis: NOOO!!! That was 700 years ago, the situation has changed!!!

The Shī`ī scholar Sayyid Muḥsin al-Amīn al-`Āmilī (d. 1952) said that Sayyida Zaynab must have been buried in an unmarked grave in Medina, not in Damascus or Cairo.
Soleimani & Abu Mahdi assassinated under Iran's watch, then they shoot down their own airplane, they lose Raisi because of their own incompetence, and now Haniyeh is assassinated on their soil. Iran is a joke
The minority Shia rule over the majority Sunnis for five decades with an iron fist then when the Syrians have had enough and revolt, Shia Hezbollah and Shia Iran step in to crush them and call any opposition "terrorists" and you're surprised there's hatred against Shia in Syria?
Muslims know that Christians believe in the hypostatic union, but we also know it's completely nonsensical. Your tweet is absolutely a personal slight, not just against @nasafism but against Muslims, who you think are dumb because they don't entertain the idea of a square circle.
How did they kill 800,000 when the total war deaths were 600,000 (and that includes Assad's army, ISIS, rebel fighters, Iranians, Hezb, Russians, etc.)?
And remarkably, many (if not most) of them *still* aren't sectarian. They just have a natural and logical distrust of Iran & Hezb that may never be repaired. Can you blame them?
