ok but for my actual thoughts:
the humor is too reliant on modern internet humor, which will quickly make the show dated after just a few years. the world doesn't feel as though it is properly introduced to the audience, not to mention the pilot consists of characters complaining
if i were an executive seeing this, i don't think i'd pick it up because it doesn't feel like it'd make a good show. as is, it feels like something that'd be fine enough as a standalone short
I never quite understood why the producers on the show thought this pilot looked bad.
Like sure, it might not have been what they wanted, but it didn't look outright BAD...
So I found out about the Simpsons pilot and decided to see what it was like and
Dude I can't imagine this homer acting like homer he seems a little too sweet and like I don't think he would strangle Bart
He looks like the sweetest guy you would ever meet😭
