    i get why understanding asexuality is hard. explaining sexual attraction as being different than sexual desire or interest is hard for others to understand. sexuality isn't about your interest in sex as an act. but being ace means sex might play a different role in our lives.

    i could not have imagined what i would wake up to today. my ex pretending he thought i enjoyed being hurt... and all of my friends immediately coming to my defense. the support has brought me to tears, i don't even know what to say. i'll be back, i'll just be taking a little time

    if you see a timeline going around trying to disprove me, they base their timeline on an inaccurate assumption of when i last spoke to my ex, proceed to call me a liar or bad at math for a 30 year old, and then claim they’re neutral. block them and move on.

    not that it’s the point, but as creators i think we are all more than allowed to lie about whether we’re in a relationship or not, tell people we’re single if we want to, or just never clarify. you are not entitled to know anything about our romantic relationships.

    just to say it one more time. asexuality isn’t modesty. asexuality isn’t abstinence. asexuality isn’t celibacy. asexuality isn’t a lack of libido. asexuality isn’t a medical condition. asexuality isn’t about how much sex you have or don’t have, AT ALL.
